In this case, this instrument belongs to the new N1 series, N1 meaning “number one”. This is the most affordable series of Marco Bass Guitars, but unlike other brands Marco has decided that in this series the only tradeoffs acceptable are on the mumber of finishes and options, not on quality and sound. And of course, it is Made in USA as all Marco Bass Guitars.
The N1 features a 34″ scale (the standard scale for the TFL series is 34.5″) and has two hand-wound Marco single pickups. The preamp is, of course, passive. This bass comes in particular comes with a natural finish with black pickguard and chrome hardware. These basses can only be described as “surprising” because you would have never expected to see together this price tag and an instrument of this quality.
